I quite enjoy many parts of this entry to the National Geographic Channel Live Curious Award competition 2010 as it reminds me of how it feels like going to 街市買餸 in Hong Kong. I hope you will enjoy it too.

The following are some info about the film from the film’s director Jane Leung.

“I still remember going to the wet market with my mother when I was a child. I hated the slippery floor, stinking fish smell, and the deafening holler of the hawkers I just wished Mom would finish her shopping quickly so I could be home for my cartoon shows. Now people go to supermarkets instead. But now, for me, the impeccably clean supermarket cannot replace the sticky wet market. Whats missing in the air is the smell of fresh food as well as a tint of human touch. Time passes, but feelings, love and memories, are forever frozen there.
