農漢

Promised my friend Ming to share some photos of our plants. Here are some photos and stories.

Strawberries

A note on Strawberries. They love to spread themselves out (so be careful and watch if you grow them or your whole garden may become a strawberry field). We originally bought four plants for less than C$2 each. And then they’ve grown 10 little plants out of them! Yes, 10 of them. 8 of these plants seem quite healthy and 2 are weaker. But they are tough little plants. (note: once they grow to a certain size, I cut their cords so they will try to grow themselves up as a plant as oppose to taking nutrients from the main plant that spawn them)

Ah, so far most of our strawberries have been eaten by wild lives. We suspect the thieves are our robins and squirrels friends/guests which have been seen awfully close to our treasured strawberries!
