電影資料館辦方育平影展，沒有趕上《半邊人》時代的 80後，像發現新大陸般齊齊朝聖。似是故人來，從加拿大回港的方導演，神態清朗自若，原來大病過後，有了新的人生態度。

這一天，是兩個人的日子。世界上沒有一個人會知道、會記得這一天有什麼特別。但這兩個人，五十多年來，沒有一年不記得這一天。從來沒有慶祝活動，從來沒有為這一天請過客。只是這一天，兩對眼睛凝視，二人心裏明白，牽手在外走一段路，然後幾乎整天談些往事。不驚動任何人，卻是每一年最珍視的一天。

五十二年前了吧。兩人間發生了一些事，於是就記下了這一天。三年後，結婚了，沒有儀式，沒有擺酒，甚至沒有註冊登記，只在報上登一段小小啟事。也選了這一天。這段小啟事剪報保留至今。後來在香港補辦了結婚登記，也選了這一天。

兩人曾分隔兩地二十年。自從有了那一天之後，不管多麼遠，不管多麼忙，也一定要千辛萬苦在這一天會晤。有時假期到了，也硬要延兩天，必須在這一天一起過。

每年春節、新年、端午、中秋、聖誕節，有家人，有朋友。但不是兩個人的日子。情人節、七夕，也沒什麼感覺。兩人的生日，孩子們都有點表示，但到晚年她不想提生日，說是又老了一年。母親節、父親節，女兒們記得，但他二人無所謂。只有這一天，孩子、親戚、朋友，沒有人知道，沒有人會提起，沒有人說要慶祝，他二人也不慶祝，但二人從來不會忘記。

去年這一天，她說，還有兩年，就是結婚五十年了。我說，要兩個人單獨去那裏過幾天吧，她不想旅行，但也說好。

今年，她不在了，剩我一個，陪着她的遺照。除了晚上約了朋友吃飯，整天都沒有出去。愛情，是一個人的事。少了另一人，愛情還在。

這一天是七月二十五日。

As a computer geek (this is one of the easiest form of “geek” to translate to Chinese), I am so excited and looking forward to all the insights behind the latest 改良電影推介. Only a few more hours until we have a winning team. We can all use better recommendation system (those knowledge and insight gained should be transferable). And yes, it is fun to see some team wins a 百萬美元獎金, soon after July 26, 2009 18:42:37 UTC. (These two teams are the current qualifiers and leaders.)

周秀娜的寫真集《 Kissy Chrissie》，憑食雪糕及刷牙性感照大收宣傳之效，雖然被指意識不良連日遭 o靚模圍攻，但仍無損銷量，她所屬公司指截至昨日為止已賣出約 16,800本，周秀娜昨日履行諾言在書展舉行獻吻會。不過周秀娜親吻 fans臉頰時，中間卻隔着一塊膠片，令一眾電車男體味朱唇溫度的幻想完全破滅，最後也只得 5男 1女 fans獲獻吻。

Here are a few observations,

• How stupid is that piece of plastic?
• Girls like 周秀娜 and many many other girls in HK are feeding the media machine in HK.
• The media machine (including Apple) exploits the girls by photographing/filming their breasts and then have the guts to claim they wear too little.

P.S. Because I have the most expectation in Apple Daily/Next Media, so I will single it out and hold it accountable to its actions. It is unfair to simply call Apple Daily/Next Media hypocrite (偽君子) because Mr. Jimmy Lai (and Apple Daily/Next) never claims to be a 君子. It believes in the Market and Market alone. And will let the Market guides/dictates its editorial policy and content (to some degree).

May be it is comfortable to hide behind wise man’s views.

二億元的李師奶 – T&T for $225 million

From CBC,

Grocery retailer Loblaw Companies Ltd. said Friday it is buying T&T Supermarket Inc., Canada’s largest Asian food retailer, for about $225 million.

[...] Sales at T&T hit roughly $514 million in the 12 months leading up to June 30.

“Some of our customers have a nickname for us — the Asian Loblaw. Today we are proud it has become a reality,” said Cindy Lee, CEO of T&T.

I know Cindy is good but not this good! Wow! Congrats to the hard work of Cindy and her team at T&T. Here is Cindy on CBC last year.

The accused are innocent until proven guilty in justice system.

But if it is proven that this is indeed a case of “honour killing”, then we need to punish to the full extend under the law and teach, inform, and instruct our immigrants that there is no “honour” in killing. Killing is murder. And in Canada, women are equal to men.

I am deeply saddened of the tragic death of the four women.
