Where do Canadians put their money these days? 美國長線投資者全民破產!

  10. kempton Says:

Many Canadians and Americans are in the same boat. But “美國長線投資者全民破產!” is probably too much. :)

Canadians and Americans have lost a lot of money on the surface — yes. But bankrupt? Probably no.

Those Americans that were buying houses based on an imaginary potential earning number that don’t have are in trouble now. And unfortunately, those that got fired from their jobs are in trouble too if they had maxed out to buy their home or invest.

Most Canadians are scared and they put their money in term deposit. Is that wise? May be. But as I wrote, “不過人人都驚死,所以對長線投資者都幾有利,審慎D都有D機會。” Some securities are mis-priced but the homework is to find them. And be patient and view them as “長線投資”.

Time of buy high and sell higher is gone.
Many people have been buying high and selling low.
The trick is buy solid securities at dirt cheap price and wait for the weighing machine.

In the short term, the stock market is a voting machine. (At the moment, everyone is voting to jump off the building or get out at the exit).
In the long term, the stock market is a weighing machine.
I borrowed the above words as I think them insightful.
